Kaliningrad's Avtotor starts producing Chinese Brock commercial electric vehicles

KALININGRAD. Sept 8 (Interfax) - Kaliningrad's Avtotor has started producing commercial Brock brand electric vehicles from China's Foton company, the press service of the plant said.

Two commercial vehicle models with electric motors have been launched. These are the Brock 75 and Brock 160.

The "75" weighs 7.5 tonnes, runs on a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 81 kWh, and boasts a maximum engine power of 115 kW. Range on one charge at constant speed is 300 km; fast charging time is 2 hours.

The "160" has a total mass of 16 tonnes and runs on a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 246 kWh. The truck boasts a maximum engine power of 160 kW, a range of 300 km on a single charge at constant speed, and a fast charging time of 2 hours.

These models can be equipped with a wide range of universal and special superstructures, including flatbed platforms, boxes for various purposes, refrigerators, hydraulic lifts, garbage haulage, and towing, etc.

Avtotor's total investment in this production line was over 130 million rubles.

In August, Avtotor began producing commercial vehicles from China's Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC). The plant produces three JMC models with diesel engines.
