Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada discharges Pishchanskaya as head of Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee

MOSCOW. Sept 5 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has relieved Olga Pishchanskaya of her duties as chairperson of the Antimonopoly Committee, Ukrainian media reported on Tuesday.

The relevant draft resolution was supported by 306 parliamentarians, Yaroslav Zheleznyak of the Golos (Voice) parliamentary faction said on Telegram.

"The parliament has supported Antimonopoly Committee head Olga Pishchanskaya's discharge," he said.

"While taking questions, she did not confirm, but also did not deny plans to appoint her chairperson of the State Property Fund," he said.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Rada relieved Rustem Umerov of his duties as chief of the State Property Fund.
