Putin: We are ready to revive grain deal as soon as Russia's demands are met
SOCHI. Sept 4 (Interfax) - Russia is ready to revive the so-called grain deal once all Moscow's conditions are met, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday following talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"I would like to once again reiterate our principled stance: we will be ready to consider the possibility of reviving the grain deal. And today, I have once again said this to Mr. President [of Turkey]," Putin said.
"We will do it as soon as all the agreements on lifting restrictions on the export of Russian agricultural products set in it have been fully implemented," he said.
"Despite all the obstacles being put up, Russia intends to continue exporting food and fertilizers, helping stabilize prices and improve the situation in the global agriculture sector," Putin said.
