Umerov tenders resignation as Ukrainian State Property Fund head to Rada

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - Rustem Umerov has tendered his resignation to the Verkhovna Rada as head of the Ukrainian State Property Fund, Ukrainian media reported with reference to Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.

"The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has received a resignation letter from State Property Fund head Rustem Umerov. The resignation letter will be considered at the next plenary session," Stefanchuk wrote on his social account on Monday.

As reported earlier, President Vladimir Zelensky said on September 3 that he would propose the parliament endorse Umerov's candidacy for the post of defense minister.

Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov tendered his resignation to the Rada on the morning of September 4.
