Two bulkers leave Ukraine's Yuzhny Black Sea port

MOSCOW. Sept 1 (Interfax) - Two bulkers, the Anna-Theresa flying the flag of Liberia and the Ocean Courtesy flying the flag of the Marshall Islands, departed Ukraine's port of Yuzhny on Friday and are sailing along the designated corridor, Ukrainian media reported citing the Ministry for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure.

"Both bulkers are operated by a Singaporean shipping company and were at the port of Yuzhny prior to the start of the crisis," the ministry said.

The vessels are carrying 56,000 tonnes of cast iron and 172,000 tonnes of iron-ore concentrate, it said.

The Anna-Therese had been at the port since February 22, 2022, and the Ocean Courtesy since February 16, 2022, it said.

The Anna Theresa is bound for Varna, Bulgaria, while the destination of the Ocean Courtesy is unknown, data of the MarineTraffic website shows. However, both bulkers are heading south.

As reported, two vessels have used the corridor in the Black Sea that opened on August 8,. They are the Joseph Schulte container ship on August 16 and the Primus bulker on August 27.

There were six vessels with 262,000 tonnes of cargo on board at the Greater Odessa ports on August 23, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority said.
