Lithuanian GDP decreased 0.8% in H1, but with noticeable growth in Q2

VILNIUS. Aug 31 (Interfax) - The real GDP of Lithuania in Q2 of this year reached 17.7 billion euro, the State Data Agency reported.

Compared to Q1 2023, GDP grew 2.9%, taking into account the influence of the seasonal factor and the number of working days, and 1% compared to Q2 last year.

In H1 of this year, the Lithuanian economy contracted 0.8% compared to H1 2022, the agency said.

As reported, Lithuanian GDP in Q1 2023 decreased 2.5% compared to the same period last year, and was down 2.1% (seasonally adjusted) compared to Q4 2022. GDP in Q1 of this year was estimated at 16 billion euros.

At the end of 2022, the country's economy showed an increase of 1.9% compared to 2021, GDP in actual prices totaled 66.9 billion euros.
