Gazprom says gas storage in Russia now 88%

MOSCOW. August 31 (Interfax) - Gazprom has pumped 88% of the targeted volume of gas into Russian storage facilities for the winter, the company's CEO Alexei Miller said on a conference call dedicated to Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day.

"Our professional holiday is also always a reminder that the autumn-winter period is approaching. This is the most important period for our company. We are pumping gas into Russian underground storage facilities right on schedule. This should also be mentioned. Storage is currently 88% of target," Miller said.

"All targets for gas injection into underground storage facilities will absolutely be achieved by the beginning of the season. Active gas injection will reach record volumes by this winter, and the potential daily productivity will reach record volumes by the beginning of the offtake period," Miller said.

Gazprom planned to store and operating reserve of 72.842 billion cubic meters in Russian facilities for the 2023/2024 winter season. The maximum potential daily offtake should be 858.8 million cubic meters at the beginning of the season.
