Natural gas consumption in Latvia drops 10% from Jan-July

RIGA. Aug 31 (Interfax) - Natural gas consumption in Latvia decreased 10.2% in the first seven months of 2023 compared to the same period last year to 4.542 million MWh in equivalent, the Central Statistical Bureau said.

In July, natural gas consumption increased 4% compared to April last year to 209,712 thousand MWh.

As previously reported, in 2022 natural gas consumption in Latvia totaled 8.887 million MWh, which is 30.3% less than in the previous year.
