Danube ports ship 1.75 mln tonnes of Ukrainian agricultural exports on Aug 1-15

MOSCOW. Aug 31 (Interfax) - Ports of the Danube cluster shipped 1.75 million tonnes of agricultural products between August 1 and August 15, head of the Odessa region's military administration Oleg Kiper said.

"The ports of the Danube cluster shipped 1.75 million tonnes of agricultural products in the first 15 days of August of this year, and in July - more than 2 million tons," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Kiper as saying on social media.

The Odessa region ranks fourth among Ukraine's regions, accounting for 5.6% of the country's total exports, he said.

"As regards the range of goods, the largest exports were grain (52.8%), fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin (15.6%), and ready-to-eat food products (5.1%)," Kiper added.

Enterprises of the Odessa region carried out trade transactions with partners from 166 countries in January-June 2023, he said. Exports amounted to more than $1 billion.
