Rosneft crude refining up 9.2% to 44.1 mln t in H1, down 5.1% q/q to 21.5 mln t in Q2

MOSCOW. Aug 30 (Interfax) - Rosneft increased crude refining in Russia by 9.2% to 44.1 million tonnes in the first half of 2023, though refining in the second quarter fell 5.1% quarter-on-quarter to 21.5 million tonnes due to seasonal maintenance, the oil company reported.

As part of efforts to develop domestic technologies and replace imports, the company produced 780 tonnes of diesel fuel hydrotreating catalysts and guard catalysts, of which 75% was shipped to Rosneft refineries and 25% was exported.

The company also produced 175 tonnes of reforming catalysts and 55 tonnes of hydrogen production catalysts, and reactivated 340 tonnes of regenerated diesel hydrotreating catalysts, the press release said.
