Ukraine, Moldova, Romania to be linked by new cross-border tourist route

MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Ukraine's State Agency for Tourism Development and the Regional Development Agency for Tavrida Territorial Communities have signed a memorandum of cooperation to develop an agritourism cluster, named "On the paths of the Trypillia ancient mother", and to create a cross-border tourist route between Ukraine, Moldova and Romania, Ukrainian media said, citing the press service for the Ukrainian State Agency for Tourism Development.

"Trypillia is one of Europe's most ancient civilizations, and the creation of a tourist route linked to the millennia-long history of this culture offers an exceptional opportunity to demonstrate and to tell this ancient and unique story," the agency's head Maryana Oleskiv said.

As reported, 18 territorial communities in the Kirovograd, Vinnitsa and Cherkassy region, the Sofiyevka National Dendrological Park, the Legezdino State Historical and Architectural Reserve, and the regional development agencies of the Vinnitsa and Cherkassy regions signed a document in the summer of 2023 on developing tourism in the territory of these regions.

The goal of the project is to create a tourist route together with the State Agency for Tourism Development that will stretch from Cucuteni in Romania to Nebelevka in the Kirovograd region and will show the places where the Cucuteni-Trylippia culture had blossomed.
