Segezha estimates windfall tax at 465 mln rubles

MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Segezha Group , the forestry division of Russian investment group Sistema PJSFC , estimated that its windfall tax payments to Russia's federal budget will total 465 million rubles.

"Taking into account management's intention to pay a security deposit within the timeframe indicated above [by November 30, 2023], the group's management estimates the amount of windfall tax at 465 million rubles, which will be recognized and presented in the consolidated statement of profit and loss and other comprehensive income for the year ended December 31, 2023 as current tax on profit," Segezha said in its IFRS financial statement for the second quarter.
