Russian Central Bank registers new Kwikpay int'l remittance system

MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) has registered the new Kwikpay international remittance system, the regulator posted on its website.

The system was registered in the CBR registry on August 25, and the operator is Trubnaya SIV LLC. The Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE) indicates that the company was registered in Moscow in 2019, and the beneficiary is Irina Hellmikh.

The website of the payment system indicates that users have access to cross-border remittances to Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey and 32 other countries.

Kwikpay is the second payment system registered by the CBR this year. The regulator in April 2023 registered the dengi.ru system in the registry, as operated by Kazan-based Bank 131. The operator of the Astrasend system was replaced in March. Meantime, Inkahran acted as the operator during registration of the system in October 2022, with Sokolovsky Bank subsequently assuming the role. The bank ranked 284th in terms of assets among Russian banks in the Interfax-100 ranking, according to the results of the first half of 2023.
