Novosibirsk-based Renewal launches production of medical spray products

NOVOSIBIRSK. Aug 28 (Interfax) - Novosibirsk-based pharmaceutical manufacturer Obnovleniye (trademark Renewal) has launched production of sprays and solutions for internal and external use at a new site for the production of dosed liquid medicines, the company's press service reported.

"Annual production volumes total 21 million packages of medicines," the report says.

Modern equipment for the preparation, filling and packaging of medicines was designed and installed for the new site. As a result, the production cycle takes place with the medicines having virtually no contact with the environment.

"The liquid solutions come from the reactor to filling machines through closed product lines, and the high filling speed minimizes the environmental impact on the product. This makes it possible to produce light-sensitive and thermolabile drugs," Vladimir Grechkin, Executive Director of Renewal, said in the press release.

Production of antiseptics has begun, and by the end of this year, production of drugs for rhinitis, as well as antihistamines, will begin.

As reported, at the beginning of 2023, the company produced about 220 commodity items, by the end of the year it plans to have 60 new drugs in production.

The company's production and research complex is located in Novosibirsk and in the Suzun industrial zone in Novosibirsk region. All its industrial sites operate according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. The products are available in pharmacies across Russia.
