Putin planning trips abroad this fall - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning a number of trips abroad in the fall which the Kremlin will announce in due time, and his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will take place in the near future, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Indeed, a meeting [with Erdogan] will take place soon, and we'll announce it when the time is right," Peskov told journalists on Monday.

He declined to comment on reports suggesting that Erdogan might visit Russia.

"There are certain agreements on dates when an announcement should be made, and we intend to stick to these agreements," he said.

Asked by journalists whether President Putin plans to travel abroad, taking into account the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant for him, Peskov said, "They [the trips] have been planned. They're planned for this fall. We'll also inform you of that in due time."

For understandable reasons, such information will not be announced in advance, he said.
