Ukraine starts negotiations on bilateral security guarantee agreement with Canada - Yermak

MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - Deputy chief of staff of the Ukrainian presidential administration Igor Zhovkva has held the first round of negotiations with Canada on a bilateral agreement to provide security guarantees for Ukraine envisaged by the G7 declaration, Ukrainian media said, citing a statement by chief of staff of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's administration Andrei Yermak on a social network.

"I am coordinating the negotiations on the orders from Zelensky. My deputy Igor Zhovkva has held the first round of negotiations," Yermak said.

Canada is the third G7 country after the United States and the United Kingdom "which Ukraine has begun the respective negotiations with and has continued positive dynamics of the fulfillment of the security agreements reached by our country with key international partners," he said.
