TMH to challenge U.S. sanctions against Metrovagonmash in Sept

ST. PETERSBURG. Aug 28 (Interfax) - Transmashholding (TMH) plans to file documents in September to dispute U.S. sanctions imposed against subway car maker Metrovagonmash, the Russian train manufacturer's CEO, Kirill Lipa said on the sidelines of the PRO//Motion.Expo international railway equipment and technology salon.

The company has not disputed the sanctions yet, "but we will do this in September," Lipa told reporters when asked if TMH has challenged the sanctions.

Metrovagonmash, a division of TMH that is one of Russia's largest producers of metro cars, was included in the U.S. sanctions list in May 2023. The company manufactures rolling stock for subways and railways and spare parts for it, and carried out repairs, modernization and servicing.
