Medimex opens 140-mln ruble industrial gas production facility in Kurgan

KURGAN. Aug 25 (Interfax) - Medimex launched production on Friday of "clean" carbon monoxide and methane, the press service of the governor of the Kurgan region said.

"Carbon monoxide and methane with a purity of up to 99.999% are produced here, which are used in industry, science, food and petrochemical production, as well as in other industries and areas," the report says.

Investments in the project totaled over 140 million rubles, the regional governor Vadim Shumkov said on his Telegram channel.

"The government has subsidized more than 12 million rubles for the purchase of new equipment for two years. The project has allowed for the creation of about 20 jobs. More than 140 million rubles have been invested," Shumkov said.

The new industrial gas production facility will replace suppliers from Italy and Germany who exited Russia, the press service said

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Medimex LLC was established in 2002 in Kurgan. Its primary activity is the production of industrial gases. The company was unprofitable in 2021-2022 (in 2022, it posted a 10.3 million ruble net loss), annual revenue was 0.7-2.5 million rubles. The sole owner of the company is Dmitry Myasnikov, who also owns Moscow-based medicines producer OOO Medimex, and OOO Madmit, a real estate management company in Kurgan. In addition, Myasnikov is a co-owner in the Altai aluminum-packaging manufacturer Altaialupak LLC.
