Tendencies in Russian economy are optimistic, trend in 2023 will be "pleasing" - Reshetnikov

YEREVAN. Aug 25 (Interfax) - Trends in the Russian economy are positive, and 2023 indicators will be "pleasing", Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said in Yerevan during a business breakfast for representatives of Russian and Armenian business communities.

"We are handling the current year quite well, given the volume of challenges we are facing. I think that the figures for the year will please us all," Reshetnikov said.

An updated forecast is being prepared for publication, he said.

"We are quite confident about both the current year and next year - both in terms of investments, personal income, consumer demand, and lending. There are positive trends. All this is a consequence of the market orientation of the Russian economy, its integration into the global economy. There is a big readjustment, it is very important to give maximum freedom to business, so that business itself carries out this readjustment", - Reshetnikov said.
