Ukrainian, Norwegian prime ministers discuss Ukraine's recovery

MOSCOW. Aug 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal and his Norwegian counterpart Jonas Gahr Store have discussed Norway's participation in Ukraine's recovery and in programs to support small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine.

"I thanked [Norway] for its staunch support of Ukraine, including for the five-year program of military and humanitarian assistance worth around seven billion euros," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Shmygal as saying in a social media post.

The parties also discussed food security, the functioning of the grain corridor and Norway's contribution to Ukraine's recovery and support programs for small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, it said.

Store, for his part, said that Norway would continue to help Ukraine in the energy sector and humanitarian mine clearance and would also join restoration projects.
