Power supply to over 11,000 consumers in Kharkov region restored - Ukrainian Energy Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 24 (Interfax) - Ukrainian power engineers have restored electricity supply to over 11,000 consumers in the Kharkov region, Ukrainian media reported citing the Energy Ministry on Thursday.

These are consumers in Volchansk and neighboring districts, it said. Fourteen communities in the Sumy and Chernigov regions have also been reconnected to power supply.

Some consumers in the Chernigov region and in the Kiev-controlled territories of the Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions remain without electricity.

Commercial electricity imports totaled 1,260 MWh over the past 24 hours, while there were no exports, the Energy Ministry said.

One of the DTEK Energo thermal power plants (TPPs) stopped generating electricity due to damage caused on Thursday, Ukrainian media also reported.
