Canada adds 29 entities from defense industry, financial, nuclear sectors to sanctions lists for Russia

LONDON. Aug 23 (Interfax) - The Canadian authorities have added 29 entities from the defense industry, financial and nuclear sectors, and four individuals to its sanctions lists for Russia.

According to a document released by the Canadian government, the measures were imposed against Bank Uralsib PJSC, Zenit Bank PJSC, Russian Regional Development Bank, Rosbank PJSC, RUSATOM Overseas, Federal State Unitary Enterprise ATOMFLOT, National Research Center Kurchatov Institute, State Scientific Center Research Institute of Atomic Reactor JSC, and some other design and construction organizations.

Sanctions have also been imposed against Severstal PJSC, Vladimir Potanin's holding Interros Invest, some defense enterprises, including Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant JSC, 195 Repair Plant of Rocket and Artillery Weapons JSC, and Nizhny Novgorod Plant of the 70th Anniversary of Victory JSC.
