FAS to allow Kolomensky Baking Co. to buy St. Petersburg's Darnitsa

MOSCOW. Aug 23 (Interfax) - Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service will allow the Kolomensky Bakery and Confectionery Holding, owned by the CEO of Sminex, developer Alexei Tulupov, to buy St. Petersburg baker and confectioner the Darnitsa Group of Companies, FAS said.

Since April of this year, Darnitsa has been owned by Aladushkin Group, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities shows.

Kolomensky has recently been expanding its assets. In the spring of last year, the holding became the owner of Finnish Fazer's former Russian business after the company exited Russia. The amount of the deal, which included three factories in St. Petersburg and one in Moscow, was not disclosed. Fazer LLC changed its name to Khlebny Dom LLC

In September, Kolomensky bought into Tver's Volzhsky Pekar, gaining operational control over the enterprise, one of the largest baking companies in the Central Federal District, with three production sites.

According to the SPARK-Interfax analytical system, revenues at Kolomensky in 2022 totaled 19.3 billion rubles against 14.2 billion rubles in 2021; net profit was 1.36 billion rubles against 776.5 million rubles Last year. Darnitsa's revenue rose to 5.5 billion rubles from 4.3 billion rubles a year earlier, while net profit fell to 18.4 million rubles from 36.3 million rubles.
