Lisin's Rumelko launches 7-bln ruble dairy complex in Altai

BARNAUL. Aug 22 (Interfax) - The Rumelko holding controlled by Vladimir Lisin has completed construction and commissioned a dairy complex in the Zarinsky district of the Altai Territory, regional governor Viktor Tomenko said on Tuesday on his Telegram channel.

"Today, the Yanovo dairy complex, the largest in the Zarinsky district, was opened, the construction of which the Rumelko company has been engaged in since 2021. It was not an easy path, given the difficulties with the supply of equipment and building materials due to external circumstances," Tomenko said.

The dairy complex is designed for over 6,000 heads of cattle, he said. It is assumed that Yanovo will produce more than 35,000 tonnes of milk per year. The company will employ about 250 people.

The construction of the livestock complex was carried out by Blinovskoye LLC (owned by Rumelko). In January 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Altai Territory reported that the total investment in construction was 7 billion rubles.

In 2021, Rumelko CEO Sergey Sheryshev said that by 2024 the company would invest 20 billion rubles in dairy projects in Altai, as well as the Tver and Kaluga regions. Total capacity would reach 200,000 tonnes of milk per year. The commissioning of the complexes was planned for 2022-2023.
