EU countries increase exports of petroleum products to Azerbaijan 6% to 7,200 tonnes in H1 2023
BAKU. Aug 22 (Interfax) - The countries of the European Union increased exports of petroleum products to Azerbaijan 6.2% year-on-year to 7,174 tonnes in January-June 2023, the European Union's statistical office, Eurostat, said in materials that Interfax has reviewed.
According to Eurostat, supplies have risen in price 1.6-fold to 22.823 million euros.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 3,275 tonnes of petroleum products from Germany, an increase of 1.8-fold, totaling 13.405 million euros, a surge of 2.3-fold; and imported 1,644 tonnes from Belgium, a decrease of 11.9%, totaling 4.811 million euros, a sharp surge of 41.4%.
Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, and Sweden each supplied small volumes of petroleum products to Azerbaijan.
EU countries exported 14,091 tonnes of petroleum products to Azerbaijan in 2022, a plunge of 81.1% year-on-year, totaling 35.881 million euros, a sharp drop of 37.5% year-on-year.
