Croatia may offer its Danube, Adriatic ports to facilitate Ukrainian grain exports, Moldova also ready to help

MOSCOW. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has met with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic during the Ukraine-Balkans Summit in Athens, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the Ukrainian presidential press service.

"Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is interested in finding new ways of supplying food to world markets, one of which could be Croatia. The Croatian side confirmed its readiness to provide ports on the Danube and the Adriatic Sea for transporting Ukrainian grain," it said.

Zelensky also met with Moldovan President Maia Sandu. "The parties discussed cooperation between the two countries in creating alternative routes for exporting Ukrainian grain," it said.

Zelensky and Sandu discussed Ukraine's and Moldova's integration into the European Union and common challenges on this path, it said.
