First VK subsidiaries register in Kaliningrad special administrative region

KALININGRAD. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Three subsidiaries of Russian Internet group VK have become residents of the special administrative region (SAR) on Oktyabrsky Island in Kaliningrad.

International limited liability companies VK MGL Limited, VK Equity and VK Education Technologies have been included in the registry of residents, the management company of the SAR reported.

The core business of the new residents is related to the activities of holding companies, the press release said.

Prior to redomiciliation, the first two companies were registered in Cyprus under the names VK MGL International Limited Liability Company and International Limited Liability Company VK Equity, and their founder and sole owner was VK Company Limited, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities showed.

The third company was also registered in Cyprus under the name Lomigor Investments Limited and its founder and sole owner was Cyprus-based MGL Mail.Ru Equity Limited.

VK's press service confirmed that the subsidiaries were registered in the SAR. The registration of the parent holding company is in progress.
