Over quarter of Russians have no savings - poll
MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax) - Over a quarter of Russians, or 27%, have no savings, the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) said on its website on Monday.
Russians with savings prefer to keep them in rubles. This is done by more than two thirds of Russians, or 68%, the pollster said.
Six percent keep their savings in dollars, and 4% prefer euros and other currencies, it said.
One percent is undecided.
VCIOM polled 1,600 respondents aged 18 and over by phone nationwide on July 29, 2023.
