Every fourth Russian adult has no children - poll

MOSCOW. Aug 18 (Interfax) - Almost every fourth (24%) Russian adult is currently childless, the results of a poll conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation published on Friday on its website show.

Fourteen percent of Russians have three or more children: 9% of Russians have three children and 5% have four or more, the poll results show.

More than one-third of Russians (35%) have two children, and 27% of respondents said they had one child, the pollster said.

The Public Opinion Foundation polled 1,500 respondents aged 18 and over in 104 residential communities in 53 Russian regions on July 28-30, 2023.
