Turkish investor intends to set up production of cargo cranes in Bashkortostan

UFA. Aug 18 (Interfax) - The Turkish Ozfatihler Crane Holding plans to create a production facility for overhead and jib cranes in Ufa, and is looking for a site for the plant, the press service of the head of Bashkortostan said.

The founder of the Turkish company, Mustafa Gench, presented the project at a meeting with the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov.

"Since 2007, Turkish-made cranes have been purchased by customers from Bashkortostan. Due to the growth in purchases, the investor decided to open a production site in Ufa and registered the Ozfatihler Crane Ufa Company in the region," the report says.

Investments in the project at the first stage will total nearly110 million rubles, production will take up an area of 1-2,000 sq. m. Over the next five years, the area of the complex is planned to be increased several times.

The Investment Committee of Bashkortostan assigned the project priority status with the provision of tax benefits. Khabirov invited the investor to consider a number of preferential sites, including the Promcenter industrial park.

Ozfatihler Crane Holding, founded in the 1990s, is a major supplier of lifting equipment to various countries around the world.
