OFAC license for curtailing operations with Polyus expires
MOSCOW. Aug 17 (Interfax) - The OFAC license for curtailing transactions with Polyus , Russia's largest gold miner, and withdrawing from its securities expired on Thursday.
The U.S. imposed blocking sanctions against Polyus in May. Also included in the SDN List were Polyus group companies - Polyus Aldan, Polyus Krasnoyarsk, Polyus Management Company, Polyus Service, former and current CEOs Pavel Grachev and Alexei Vostokov, and senior vice president Vladimir Polin.
The UK and Australia also announced sanctions against Polyus.
