Ukraine working on being invited to G20 summit in India - deputy FM

MOSCOW. Aug 17 (Interfax) - Ukraine is working with its partners to make sure that it is invited to the G20 summit to take place in Delhi on September 9-10, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Nikolai Tochitsky said during a national TV marathon on Wednesday.

"In short, we're working on that [on receiving an invitation to the G20 summit]," Ukrainian media quoted Tochitsky as saying.

Ukraine's partners are also involved in the process, he said.

As reported earlier, Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said Ukraine was not invited to the G20 summit in September as the G20 was focused on growth and development rather than conflict resolution, which should be addressed at the UN Security Council.
