Omsk Refinery to launch primary oil refining complex in 2023 - Miller

MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - The Omsk Refinery will launch a primary oil refining complex in 2023, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller said during a video link with Omsk Region authorities, which was broadcast on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

Miller noted that the Omsk Refinery today is one of the most technically advanced and environmentally friendly refineries in Russia. "The Omsk refinery will commission a primary oil refining complex in 2023, which will be the most advanced in the country's oil refining industry," he said.

A new complex for the production of domestic synthetic oils will also be launched at the Omsk Lubricant Plant.

A Gazprom statement said that Gazprom Neft plans to commission the ELOU-AVT primary oil refining complex at the Omsk refinery this year. "It will make it possible to replace six units of the previous ecological generation at once, improving the efficiency of fuel production and further reducing the environmental impact. In addition, the Omsk Lubricant Plant will launch a high-tech complex for the production of domestic synthetic base oils. This will make it possible to cease the use of imported components in the creation of lubricants sought by the market," the report said.
