Oilfield services provider Eriell to enter Kazakhstan's market by end-2023

ASTANA. Aug 16 (Interfax-) - Eriell, an international oilfield services group, intends to enter Kazakhstan's market by the end of 2023, the company said in its half-year report.

"In 2023 Eriell Group plans to commence operations in Kazakhstan, with an office opening soon. The Group intends to work with Kazakhstan's main oil and gas sector participants and participate in tenders for the provision of oilfield services," the report says.

Eriell is an international oilfield service group which provides well drilling and workover services to oil and gas companies in Russia, Central and South Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East. It has successfully implemented a number of major projects, in particular for Uzbekneftegaz in Uzbekistan, for Gazprom International in Bangladesh and for Lukoil in Iraq.

The company has been operating in Russia since 2008 through subsidiary Eriell Neftegazservice, renamed Energy Neftegazservice in March 2023. Eriell has not said it is leaving the Russian market, but information about work in the country has been removed from its official website. At the end of July, the group was given the opportunity to sell its Russian business to LLC MetallSeverStroy, which is controlled by Alexei and Vladimir Lukeyev, former top managers of Eriell in Russia.
