Number of Rosneft shareholders grows nearly 4.5 times to 900,000 over two years
MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - The total number of Rosneft shareholders reached almost 900,000 at the end of H1 2023, almost 4.5 times more compared to the figure as of mid-2021, the company said.
Rosneft on August 15 completed payment of dividends for 2022, approved at the annual meeting of shareholders on June 30, 2023 in the amount of 17.97 rubles/share. Total payments came to 190.4 billion rubles. The dividends were transferred to holders of 99.98% of the company's shares, Rosneft said.
Taking into account payment of interim dividends from profit for H1 2022, the total dividend per share for 2022 is 38.36 kopecks, and the total amount of funds for payment is 406.5 billion rubles, which corresponds to 50% of consolidated IFRS net income for 2022 attributable to shareholders.
Rosneft's largest shareholders are the state-owned JSC Rosneftegaz (40.4%), BP Russian Investments Limited (19.75%), Qatar's QH Oil Investments LLC (18.46%), with another 9.6% held by RN-NeftCapitalInvest and 0.76% by RN-Capital LLC. In early 2022, BP said it would withdraw from Rosneft, but so far there have been no reports of the British company selling its stake. In February, Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin said that BP is still a "shadow shareholder", not participating in the work of management bodies, but retaining all rights and dividends.
