Ukrainian govt has handed seized Tatneft assets over to Ukrnafta - MP

MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has transferred seized assets of Tatneft to Ukrnafta, Ukrainian media quoted Alexei Goncharenko, a member of parliament, as saying on Telegram.

"We are talking about Poltava-Capital LLC, Kharkov-Capital LLC and Tatneft-AZS-Ukraine LLC. They own filling stations and other real estate and movable property. These companies were seized, they have Russian owners," he said.

Goncharenko said an explanatory note to the government order stated that at first they wanted to transfer the assets of Tatneft to Naftogaz, but then it was decided to put them under the management of Ukrnafta.

The Ukrainian government is not officially commenting on the information.

The Ukrainian Asset Recovery and Management Agency or ARMA has said more than 100 filling stations owned by Tatneft and located in the Kharkov and Poltava regions would be transferred to the management of Ukrnafta.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said in July 2022 that at its request, the corporate rights of 19 Ukrainian enterprises controlled by Russian companies Rostec, Gazprom , Rusal , Rosatom, HMS Group , Tatneft and others worth more than UAH 7.75 billion or $211.9 million at the current rate were transferred to ARMA.

The Tatneft assets included 115 real estate properties such as tank farms, filling stations, nonresidential buildings, land parcels, and 118 gasoline tank trucks and other automobiles. The value of the seized property and corporate rights was estimated at more than $82 million.

Ukrnafta, which is under the state's control, had 89 fields with 3,700 oil and gas wells and operated 451 stations as of the end of March 2023. Oil and gas condensate output fell 8.6% to 1.37 million tonnes in 2022. The company plans to increase oil production 5.8% to 1.45 million tonnes and gas 0.3% to 1.04 billion cubic meters in 2023.
