Kazakhstan's industrial output up 3.6% in 7M
ASTANA. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Industrial production in Kazakhstan rose 3.6% year-on-year in January-July to 26.273 trillion tenge, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.
The mineral extraction industry accounted for 46.6% of the total with output of 12.256 trillion tenge. Manufacturing industry output totaled 12.273 trillion tenge or 46.7% of the total.
Mineral extraction output rose 3.8%, manufacturing 3%, power, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning utilities 6.3% and water utilities 6.2%.
Growth was highest in the Akmola, Almaty, North Kazakhstan regions and in the city of Almaty.
