Naftogaz continues to consolidate gas distribution cos
MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - The Naftogaz group has taken control of the Ivano-Frankovskgaz, Khmelnitskgaz and Nikolaevgaz gas distribution companies, Ukrainian media reported, citing the Gas Networks management company website.
"Integration of enterprises is the first step in resolving the key goal, which is to ensure the stable and efficient functioning of the gas distribution system in three more regions," the company said.
It said that earlier, the Kropivnitsky, Dneprovsky, Kharkov and Krivoi Rog branches had already started operating under the auspices of the state, and are providing gas distribution services to the households and industry without disruption.
At the same time, transformation is ongoing at Kievoblgaz, Zhitomirgaz, Lvovgaz, Sumygaz, Dnepropetrovskgaz and Vinnitsiyagaz.
A court transferred seized corporate rights to 26 regional and city gas distribution system operators to the National Agency for Recovery and Management of Assets at the end of May 2022, following a request by the State Bureau of Investigation.
Naftogaz registered LLC Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine or Gas Networks, the main business of which is the distribution of gas through local pipelines, on September 2, 2022.
The government 2022 handed over state gas distribution networks to Gas Networks with a resolution dated November 25, 2022.
