Ukrainian trade deficit widens 4-fold to $11 bln in H1
MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Ukraine's trade deficit widened 4-fold to $11.04 billion in H1 2023 from $2.578 billion in the same period of last year, Ukrainian media quoted the State Statistics Service as saying.
Goods exports fell 14.3% year-on-year to $19.407 billion, while imports rose 20.7% to $30.447 billion.
Seasonally adjusted exports fell 2.8% to $3.135 billion in June compared with May and imports fell 4.4% to $5.008 billion. The seasonally adjusted trade deficit narrowed to $1.874 billion from $2.012 billion.
The foreign trade coverage ratio fell to 0.64 in H1 2023, from 0.90 a year previously.
