Rospotrebnadzor scraps Covid-19 questionnaires for people arriving in Russia from abroad

MOSCOW. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Russian consumer health watchdog Rospotrebnadzor has lifted the requirement for travelers arriving in Russia from foreign countries to fill out a special form related to Covid-19.

An executive order to this effect issued by Russia's chief public health officer was published on the legal information online database on Monday.

It invalidates all points of the document that required Russian citizens coming to Russia from abroad to fill out a special questionnaire "before arrival in the territory of the Russian Federation for the purposes of sanitary and quarantine control at crossing points on the state border of the Russian Federation."

The same requirement has also been lifted for foreign citizens and stateless persons.

The document also proposes carrying out random Covid-19 testing only for people arriving in Russia from countries where a deterioration of the epidemiological situation has been observed.
