Raspadskaya's Osinnikovskaya mine launches face with 1.2 mln t of coking coal

KEMEROVO. Aug 14 (Interfax) - PJSC Raspadskaya's Osinnikovskaya mine has begun working a mine face with reserves of 1.2 million tonnes of Zh rank coking coal, the company reported.

The new face, located at a depth of 600 meters, is expected to be mined out by March 2024. The face is 300 meters long, the mine's longest ever, the company said.

The company told Interfax that the mine plans to extract a little more than 100,000 tonnes of coal from the face per month.

The Raspadskaya Group also includes Russia's largest underground coal mine, Raspadskaya, as well as the Raspadskaya open-pit mine, and the Raspadskaya-Koksovaya, Mezhegeiugol, Alardinskaya, Uskovskaya, Yerunakovskaya and Yesaulskaya mines.
