Ukrainian rescuers leave for Slovenia to help it handle flood aftermath - interior minister

MOSCOW. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Ukrainian rescuers have left for Slovenia to join efforts to handle the flood aftermath, Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klimenko said.

"Ukrainian rescuers have left for helping their Slovenian partners. The country is suffering from a flood and needs support," Ukrainian media quoted Klimenko as saying on his social account.

The rescue team includes over 50 specialists from the State Emergency Service and nearly 20 items of special equipment, he said.
