Aeroflot secures permits to fly to Zanzibar, Hainan

MOSCOW. Aug 10 (Interfax) - Russian flag carrier Aeroflot has secured permits for scheduled flights from Moscow to the island of Zanzibar in Tanzania, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported.

The airline can fly to this destination up to seven times per week.

Azur Air, meanwhile, has received permission to fly to Zanzibar from Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Perm, Ufa and Chelyabinsk up to twice a week.

Aeroflot has also received permission to flight up to seven times per week to Sanya, on China's Hainan Island, from Moscow, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk and Khabarovsk. Aeroflot subsidiary Rossiya Airlines has received similar permits for flights from Moscow and Krasnoyarsk.

The agency also granted Aeroflot permits for up to seven flights per week from Novosibirsk to Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt.
