Russian business ready to invest in Afghan electric power sector, agriculture - Taliban govt after meeting Russian delegation

KABUL. Aug 8 (Interfax) - A Russian business delegation has met with Afghan Deputy Industry and Commerce Minister Mawlavi Qudaratullah Jamal from the Taliban movement (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), the press center for the Taliban government's Industry and Commerce Ministry said.

"The Russian delegation announced a readiness to invest in Afghanistan's electric power sector, agriculture, and public utilities," the press center said in a statement.

The Russian businesspeople also invited the Taliban government to set up a joint commercial agency in both countries to enable traders to easily export their goods, the press center said, without providing details of the Russian delegation's composition.
