Kiev expects to arrange new meeting of advisors within one month - presidential office chief

MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - The next meeting between advisors to heads of state and government to address Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's peace formula will be held within a month or slightly later, Ukrainian media quoted Ukrainian presidential office chief Andrei Yermak as saying at a press briefing in Kiev on Monday.

"We have agreed upon the next meeting, and we will hold a meeting of ambassadors, where I believe we'll surpass the figure of 60 participants," Yermak said.

A first peace summit, preparations for which advisors to heads of state and government discussed at the recent meeting in Jeddah, should adopt Ukraine's peace plan as a basis, and a following summit would adopt an international document proclaiming the end of the crisis, Yermak said.

Saudi Arabia's Jeddah hosted a second meeting of national security advisors and political directors of foreign ministries of over 40 countries to discuss a settlement of the Ukraine conflict on August 5-6. The first such meeting had previously taken place in Copenhagen.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said attempts to resolve the crisis without Russia are pointless and have no prospects.
