Naftogaz doubles volume of geophysical well surveys

MOSCOW. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Naftogaz has doubled the number of geophysical well surveys compared to last year, Ukrainian media reported on Monday, citing the company's press service.

This was facilitated, among other things, by the purchase of additional specialized equipment, the company said.

Ukrgasvydobuvannya (UGV) JSC has recently added four laboratory-perforating and three laboratory-logging stations on Renault trucks to its technical fleet.

"The more geophysical surveys are carried out, the faster we will increase gas production. The plan is to continue to maintain the set pace and reach the best figures for the last three years," the company said.

As reported, UGV's goal is to increase natural gas production by 1 billion cubic meters to 13.5 billion cubic meters in 2023. In 2022, UGV produced 12.5 bcm of (commercial) natural gas, down 3% from 2021.

Naftogaz owns 100% of Ukrgazvydobuvannya.
