Pope Francis calls for praying for peace in Ukraine

MOSCOW. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Pope Francis closed an international festival of Catholic youth with a major mass on Sunday, saying he was "longing for world peace, especially in Ukraine," Ukrainian media reported with reference to Western media.

As reported, the pontiff's mass in Portugal's Lisbon was attended by about 1.5 million people.

As part of World Youth Day events, Pope Francis met with a delegation of 15 young pilgrims from Ukraine.
