Armenian-Azerbaijani peace agreement within reach - U.S. Dept of State
WASHINGTON. Aug 2 (Interfax) - A peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is within reach, and Washington keeps working on compromises with both sides, spokesman for the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
"We do believe that a peace agreement is within reach," Miller said.
"We continue to engage both at the seniormost levels of this Department [of State] and at subcabinet levels with the leaders in Armenia and Azerbaijan to urge them to reach the difficult compromises that are necessary to reach a full peace agreement," he said.
