Zelensky meets with Qatari PM in Kiev

MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky met with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani in Kiev last Friday.

Zelensky thanked Qatar for support and humanitarian aid, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the presidential office.

"We value this visit and deem it an important manifestation of Qatar's support and solidarity with our state. We are sincerely grateful for all assistance we've received from Qatar," he said.

The parties discussed further steps toward ensuring global food security and continuing the safe functioning of the grain corridor. They attached special significance to implementing Ukraine's recovery plan, it said.

"Zelensky particularly mentioned opportunities for Qatari investment funds and business quarters to join the implementation of specific programs of Ukraine's development and reconstruction," it said.
