Rosatom to get financing for projects from BRICS bank

ST. PETERSBURG. July 31 (Interfax) - Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom has reached an agreement on financing for its projects from the BRICS countries' development bank, Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev told reporters on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa summit.

"For the first time we held major negotiations with the BRICS New Development Bank, with bank president Dilma Rousseff, and reached agreements on financing for a number of projects in BRICS countries, for the implementation of our projects in countries that the BRICS bank is interested in," Likhachev said.

He said this refers foremost to nuclear medicine centers and small-capacity nuclear power plants for onshore and mobile applications.
